Easter Seals Superior California's Adult Day Services provide unique training opportunities for adults with developmental disabilities that focus on increasing each person's level of independence through a variety of teaching and training methods.
Each adult day program offers a unique variety of consumer-driven community based activities and individualized instruction including classes on personal safety, exercise, fine arts, meal planning, and a variety of academic subjects.
Easter Seals Adult Day Services are open to anyone at least 18 years old who has a diagnosed developmental disability. A developmental disability is defined as a life-long condition that is acquired before the age of 18 and affects one's ability to speak, walk, work, and/or take care of one's self.

Programs
Access to the Community Through Education, Integration and Training (ACE-IT)

ACE-IT is a model adult day program that serves individuals with developmental disabilities. Our focus is on developing functional skills related to an individual's needs, vocational aspirations and greater access to local community resources and services. ACE-IT I Specialty - Culinary Arts
* Nutrition planning and teaching healthy choices * Menu planning (from simple sandwiches to ethnic specialties) * Shopping, money management and value comparisons * Cooking skills (including kitchen safety) * Meal presentation with table and plate preparations * Clean up and proper food storage
ACE-IT II Specialty - Performing Arts
* Writing and/or adapting performances to fit abilities * Acting, singing and memorization skills * Set production (using painting, sewing and decorating skills) * Stage crew management, locating of props and timing * Music coordination * Performances video taped with staff assistance

ACE-IT III Specialty - Fine Arts

Functional Integrated Living Skills (FILS)

The primary purpose of the FILS program is to provide opportunities to challenge, encourage and effect the integration of individuals with disabilities into the community. The FILS program is located on Alta Arden Expressway. View images from the FILS Art Studio!
Help to Recovery (HTR)
Help to Recovery is a day treatment program serving adults with a traumatic brain injury. The main focus of the HTR rehabilitation program is to increase each participant's current level of independence. Attention is focused on cognitive, physical and behavioral areas that separate the participant from community involvement. The HTR program is located at the Easter Seals Main Center.
